Half-measures: new angel tax rules for start-ups https://lnkd.in/f4hhJdp Extract : There are, however, a few other issues with the new rules that could still cause unnecessary headaches to young start-ups ========================== I hope Shri Prabhu finds time to read my prescription for , " how to permanently rid the startups of unnecessary headaches " described at length at : Fayaa Laare https://lnkd.in/f6J5RM4 I am sure Shri Prabhu could not have failed to notice the profound / positive implication of my suggestion , viz : 12 million youth ( entering our work force each year ) rushing to register themselves on the web site of Income Tax department , as " Start Up " ( exempt from Income Tax for 10 years ) - even if as " Zero Tax Payers " ! In any case , even if employed , their salary income would remain less than Rs 5 lakh per year ( Rs 40,000 per month ), at the end of 10 years - and exempt from tax ! But imagine getting 12 million additions each year in database !
