Debris on call’ service: BMC wants private land for recycling
As part of its latest tender, the BMC has added a clause that allows any Mumbaiite to set up a plant if they have a large open space.

Good idea but which private land owner will invest hundreds of crore of rupees, if there are no buyers ( mostly, builders ) for their " re-cycled debris "- even if the BMC guarantees to buy back 20 % of processed construction waste ( at what price ) ?

First task is to create a " market " for recycled debris
Will builders use recycled debris if it can bring down their construction cost by 70 % ( which, it can ) ?
