27 july 2019 Gujarat to come down heavily on water thieves Heads Up: Govt to amend Irrigation & Drainage Act, impose higher punitive action, jail term https://lnkd.in/fXbU6aP =============================== May be this will reduce the incidence of " Water Mafia " filling up tankers from canals. But how many of those Water Mafia tankers are stealing water from Municipal Pipelines , below the Andheri ROB in Mumbai , right under the nose ( aka " Police Protection " ) of Mumbai Police ? Does Mumbai need a LAW for this theft ?
