07 july 2019 Sometimes, I feel our entire exercise of preparing / submitting , the CENTRAL BUDGET , is a waste of time ! It ( the exercise ) , is largely compiling past expenditures ( for 5 years ? ) and then " extrapolating " for the next year ! Tell me , out of the following proposed expenditure for 2019 budget , just presented , how much control Govt has and over which item ? -------------------- # Other Revenue Expenditure ( salaries ? ) ............. 46 % # Interest Payments .................................. ....................... 24 % # Pensions ................................................................................ 6 % # Subsidies .............................................................................. 12 % # Capital Expenditures ( only item with leeway )...... 12 % ============================== For ECONOMY 101 , read : But , Where is the Money ?
